Life Science is one of the most desirable options for students interested in pursuing higher education. The department offers an entry point to varied career options in industry and academics. It aims to mould the students to suit the modern scientific world. The department serves as a valuable foundation to many students for understanding cellular and molecular level organization in living beings.

Objectives of our Department are as follows:

To develop research attitude and skills in the students
To create a bridge between the curriculum and the industry through practical based learning
To acquire knowledge which enables students to describe, utilize and analyze the recommended methods within the environment
To mould the students to accommodate with the modern scientific world
To engage students in scientific inquiry and foster life-long learning

PHYSICAL SCIENCE

The Department of Physical science (Physics and Mathematics) is an Interdisciplinary Department which is extremely active in providing quality education through qualified and dedicated faculty members. The Department offers courses for B.Sc (PMCs) along with Mathematics for First and Second year B.Com, BBA, BCA and M.Com students. The Department has well equipped and sophisticated labs.

The “Science Club” of the Department provides a platform for the science students to exhibit their innovative ideas, creativity and to understand the concepts in science through activity. The students are very active in extension programmes in reaching out to school students too.

The Department offers Human value and Professional Ethics, Entrepreneurship, Development, Reasoning and Mental ability courses as Value Added Programme for First, Second and Third year B.Sc students.

To keep pace with the knowledge era and gear all activities to match the demands of the scientific and technological world
To strive for improvement and involvement in every activity by experimentation and learning at all levels to achieve excellence and competitiveness
To develop the ability of the students to deal with physical models and formulas mathematically
To provide the students with different practical, intellectual, abilities to think, solve problems, use the scientific method and communicate effectively
Enhance the ability of the students to seek, acquire and process data from different sources using the library and the internet
