“FLYOUT”

On 15th December 2022, Thursday, the Department of Commerce organized a mega event “FLYOUT” YOUNG MINDS MAKE DIFFERNCE, exclusively for I year B.com students.

            The concepts were presented through power point presentation and models, students gained practical exposure by role play, cost concept, Product Life cycle, Demand and Supply and also analyzed various marketing and management strategies. This also enhanced the theoretical knowledge for the student community.

    The session was inaugurated by Honorable Principal Dr. Rekha Sethi, HoD Commerce Ms. Kasturi L, Guest of the day Ms. Maheshwari A, Senior Tax Analyst, BNY MELLON and also proud Alumni 2017, Mr. Rahul, Data Processing analyst NielsenIQ and also proud Alumni 2021.

120 Participants from I year B.com who took active part and gained knowledge. 05 III year B.com students acknowledged the session.

UNITED NATIONS HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

Human Rights Cell of SBMJFGC, KGF organised Awareness Program on 10th December 2022.

OBJECTIVE:

  • To create awareness among the students community regarding education of Women, Transgender and their rights in the society.
  • To extended support to the victims.

EVENT: Chief Guests gave a special lecture on Education and its role in the society, especially focused on women and transgender. And also briefed about the various constitutional articles applicable for the upliftment of the deprived society. Students played a skit regarding the discrimination of the deprived society and the also showed the ways to overcome those discrimination, and also delivered speech on the various social reformers like Dayananda Sagar Saraswathi, Raja ram Mohanroy, Athma ram Panduranga, Jyothiba Phule and Savithribai Phule.

A few honoraries were commemorated such as

  • Manjamma padma sri Awardee.
  • Shabi Indian Soldier.
  • Prithika Yashini Police Inspector.
  • Nitasha Biswas Beauty Contest Winner. And others.

National Mathematics Day

Department of Physical Science organized National mathematics day on 22nd December 2022. National Mathematics Day is observed annually on December 22nd to mark the birth anniversary of the eminent and legendary Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. 

In 2012, former Prime Minister Dr ManMohan Singh paid tribute to the mathematician during a ceremony in Chennai to commemorate Ramanujan’s birth anniversary and declared December 22 as National Mathematics Day. Srinivasa Ramanujan was also seen on the 2012 India stamp. The Ramanujan Math Park located in Kuppam, of Andhra Pradesh, was inaugurated on this day in 2017.

Fresher’s Day

Department of Physical Science organized Fresher’s Day to I BSc students on 15th December 2022 in the Conference Hall. The Event started with the formal inauguration followed by a motivational speech by Dr. Rekha Sethi, Principal, SBMJFGC, KGF. Various Games was conducted for the students.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

Participants: 41 Students.

Student Welfare Association (SWA) Organised an Industrial Visit to Deccan Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd Dasarahosahalli Bangarpet for 1st year B.Com students. 41 students and 1 faculty visited Deccan Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd to interact and understand how the various products are manufactured for four wheelers, Commercial vehicles, Tractors and Off-Road vehicle segments. They also supplies for both Domestic and International markets such as BEML, VOLVO, TATA, L&T Constructions, and SAME DEUTZ- FAHR.

In the morning @ 10.30 am we visited to Deccan Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd we divided our students in Group for the visit and the interaction with the industry persons. In this visit students were very eagerly waiting for listening to department’s head explanation regarding process of production.

The following are the topics explained : Communication and its importance in our lives. Types of Communication. Factors that lead to effective communication. 7 C’s of Effective Communication. What’s the most difficult part of communication? What’s the best way to keep the communication going? How can we improve our communication?
