National Science Day\u00a0is celebrated in India\u00a0on 28th<\/sup> February every year with a theme to mark the discovery of the\u00a0Raman Effect\u00a0by Indian physicist Sir. Chandrashekara Venkata Raman on 28th<\/sup> February 1928. The theme for the present year 2025 is \u201cEmpowering lndian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & lnnovation for Viksit Bharat<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Science Club of Science Departments organized National Science Day on 28th<\/sup> February 2025. To raise awareness about the celebration, a Flash Mob was organized on 27th<\/sup> February 2025, which added excitement and engagement to the event. On the occasion of the celebration, the Chief Guest was Dr. Rekha Sethi, Principal SBMJC, KGF, and Mr. Kalai Chalvan, Head, Department of Physical Science and Secretary of the Science Club. Dr. Rekha Sethi spoke about the innovations in Genetics and its importance. Mr. Kalai Chalvan spoke about the innovations in space technology, defense, and biotechnology in India. Twelve competitions were organized on the day for B.Sc. (PMCs and BGB), BCA, B.Com, and BBA students, with about 200 students participating in one or more competitions. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
