Three day Educational cum pleasure trip was organized to Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant and surrounding places from 5th<\/sup> to 7th<\/sup> of May 2025, for the final B.Sc. Physical Science and Life students with Mr. A. Kalai Chalvan, Head, Department of Physics, Mrs. Louisena Vinoth Priya, Head, Department of Life Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A visit to Kudankulam Nuclear power plant was excellent, which gave us real technical might and good working environment. Mrs. Fathima, Supporting Assistant Supervisor, was the visit coordinator; we were taken to the Nuclear Information Centre which was like a museum, where the students had the opportunity to gain practical knowledge along with the theoretical about the nuclear power plant with the schematic LED display plant model. Next we were taken to the auditorium and power point presentation was given by Mr. A. V. Sathish, Scientific Officer (SO\/G). He spoke about the construction, working, safety and security measurements. We were very happy interacting with the scientific officer, who took care from the beginning to the end, and for the hospitality provided. Finally we were taken to simulation center, training center and huge water purification unit and technology used in the fish protection system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
