Priyadharshini R,&nbsp;Executive Assistant,                                                                                                                              ICSI-Bengaluru Chapter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Venue<\/strong>:&nbsp; Conference Hall<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participants<\/strong>: 91 Students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Student Welfare Council (SWC) organized&nbsp; <strong>AN AWARENESS&nbsp;PROGRAMME ON &#8220;CAREER&nbsp;AS A COMPANY SECRETARY&#8221; <\/strong>&nbsp;to B.Com and BBA students<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Event Highlights:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Introduction to the Profession:<\/strong> Ms. Noor Sumayya, provided an overview of the Company Secretary profession, explaining its importance in corporate governance, legal compliance, and corporate law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Educational Pathway:<\/strong> The resource person highlighted the academic qualifications required to become a CS, including details on the different stages of the Company Secretary course, exams, and professional training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skills Required:<\/strong> Ms. Noor Sumayya, discussed the key skills a successful CS needs, such as legal acumen, communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work with top management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Career Opportunities:<\/strong> The session also covered the wide range of career opportunities available to CS professionals in both private and public sectors, including roles in legal firms, corporate entities, government bodies, and as independent consultants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Challenges and Rewards:<\/strong> Ms. Noor Sumayya,shared insights into the challenges one might face in the profession, such as staying updated with laws and regulations.
