Shroff Memorial Elocution Competition was successfully organized for the students of <strong>BCA, B.Com, BBA, and B.Sc.<\/strong> at <strong>Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College, KGF<\/strong> on <strong>17th September 2025<\/strong> at <strong>11:00 AM<\/strong>. The event aimed to encourage public speaking skills, enhance students\u2019 confidence, and promote awareness on socio-economic topics through competitive oratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Objective of the Event<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To provide a platform for students to express their ideas confidently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To develop communication, analytical, and presentation skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To encourage healthy competition among students across various streams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To honor the legacy of A.D. Shroff, a great economist and visionary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Participation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of <strong>11 students<\/strong> from various departments enthusiastically participated in the competition. Each participant delivered an elocution speech on topics related to economics, social issues, and national development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dignitaries and Judges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was presided over by <strong>Principal Dr. Rekha Sethi<\/strong>, who encouraged the students with her motivating words and later distributed prizes to the winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The panel of judges for the competition included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mr. Tarzan W<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mr. Sureshappa M<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ms. Ameena Begum M<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Their valuable assessment and fair judgment ensured smooth evaluation of the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was coordinated by <strong>Faculty In-Charge Mr. Mayur A. Wadeyar<\/strong>, who managed all arrangements and ensured the competition was conducted efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Results of the Competition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After an impressive display of oratory skills by all participants, the winners were announced as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&nbsp;Winners<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1st Prize:<\/strong> <em>Ms. Ayesha Aymen<\/em>, BCA 3rd Year &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cash Prize: Rs 2500<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2nd Prize:<\/strong> <em>Ms. Harshitha K L<\/em>, BCA 3rd Year&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cash Prize: Rs 1500<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3rd Prize:<\/strong> <em>Ms. Ramya Shree R.<\/em>, BCA 1st Year&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cash Prize: Rs 1000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&nbsp;Consolation Prizes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ms. Evangeline F<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ms. Lokeshwari K<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All winners were awarded <strong>cash prizes<\/strong>, which were distributed by <strong>Principal Dr. Rekha Sethi<\/strong>, in the presence of the judges and faculty in charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Event Overview<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition witnessed energetic participation and enthusiasm from the students. Each speaker showcased unique perspectives, well-researched thoughts, and confident delivery. The audience appreciated the speakers\u2019 efforts, making the event engaging and impactful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The judges commended the participants for their clarity, content quality, and speaking skills. Shroff Memorial Elocution Competition at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College, KGF, was a remarkable success.
