Under the theme <strong>&#8220;Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan: Ancient Wisdom to Infinite Possibilities&#8221;<\/strong>, the event highlighted India&#8217;s journey from its rich scientific heritage to cutting-edge space research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Chief Guest:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Speech by \u2013 Dr. Diwakar B. S.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(Sc.D, Department of Space, INMC-C, Satellite Mission Center, Peenya, Bengaluru)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Diwakar delivered an insightful lecture on India\u2019s space missions, particularly focusing on indigenous advancements, satellite technology, and future possibilities in space exploration. His lecture inspired students to pursue careers in science and technology and emphasized the importance of innovation and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His address focused on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>India\u2019s Journey in Space Exploration: He highlighted the milestones of Indian space science \u2014 from the launch of <em>Aryabhata<\/em>, India\u2019s first satellite in 1975, to the upcoming <em>Gaganyaan<\/em> mission, India\u2019s first crewed spaceflight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Indigenous Advancements: Dr. Diwakar emphasized the self-reliance and innovation demonstrated by ISRO in building cost-effective and world-class space technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Satellite Technology: He gave an overview of the role of satellites in communication, weather forecasting, disaster management, and national security.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Future Possibilities: He inspired students to look towards careers in research, space engineering, and astronomy, stressing that today&#8217;s students are tomorrow\u2019s scientists and space explorers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He also shared real-life experiences and mission challenges, making the session both educational and engaging.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>His talk reflected the spirit of <em>\u201cJai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan\u201d<\/em> celebrating science and research and encouraged students to dream big and contribute to India\u2019s scientific progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Speech by Principal \u2013 Dr. Rekha Sethi Madam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Rekha Sethi Madam addressed the gathering with an <strong>inspiring message<\/strong> about the significance of celebrating National Space Day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>She emphasized that Space Day is not just a celebration, but a reminder of the power of curiosity, innovation, and perseverance in scientific endeavors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drawing from the day\u2019s theme, she spoke about how ancient Indian knowledge systems laid the foundation for modern scientific thought, and how that legacy continues to shape our present and future through missions like Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, and Gaganyaan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Sethi Madam encouraged students to actively engage in science clubs, competitions, and research-based learning to develop scientific temper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>She also appreciated the efforts of the Science Club and NCC Unit for organizing a well-rounded event that combined learning with creativity, such as through events like <em>Space Decode<\/em> and <em>Chrome Art<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Her speech served as a motivational call to action, reminding students that <em>\u201cevery great mission starts with a dream and a dedication to learn.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dignitaries Present:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dr. Rekha Sethi<\/strong> \u2013 Principal, SBMJFGC, KGF<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mr. Kalai Chalvan<\/strong> \u2013 HOD, Department of Physical Science<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mr. Mayur A. Wadeyar<\/strong> \u2013 NCC Caretaking Officer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Participants:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>350 Students<\/strong> from various streams participated enthusiastically<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>30 NCC Cadets<\/strong> actively contributed to the event\u2019s organization and discipline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faculty members and non-teaching staff also attended Function.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Events Conducted:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A series of engaging and educational activities were organized to commemorate the occasion:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Quiz Competition<\/strong> \u2013 Focused on space science and Indian space missions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Origami Space<\/strong> \u2013 Creative paper folding to depict space-related themes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Drawing Competition<\/strong> \u2013 Artistic representation of Indian space achievements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Space Chase<\/strong> \u2013 A science-based treasure hunt for students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Space Decode<\/strong> \u2013 Puzzle-solving event themed on satellite communication and coding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chrome Art<\/strong> \u2013 Innovative artwork using chrome\/silver elements inspired by outer space<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Valedictory Function:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During the concluding ceremony:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Medals and Certificates<\/strong> were awarded to winners and participants of various competitions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chief Guest and dignitaries appreciated the efforts of students, organizers, and volunteers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Principal commended the spirit of scientific inquiry among students and encouraged such initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Space Day celebration was a grand success, fulfilling its objective of promoting scientific curiosity and honoring India\u2019s contributions to space research.
