The NPTEL\u2013SWAYAM Online Certificate Orientation Program<\/strong> was organized for first-year undergraduate students to create awareness about the online certification courses offered through the SWAYAM platform. The program was conducted over two days<\/strong>. The first session was held on 21st<\/sup> July<\/strong> 2026<\/strong> for the first-year B.Com and BBA<\/strong> students, while the second session was conducted on 24th<\/sup> July 2026<\/strong> for the first-year BCA, PMCS, and BGB<\/strong> students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The orientation program was conducted by Mr. Harish, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, and NPTEL Local Chapter SPOC<\/strong>. The session provided students with a comprehensive overview of the objectives and benefits of NPTEL\u2013SWAYAM courses, the registration process, course structure, weekly assignments, examination and certification procedures, and the opportunities available for skill development, academic enrichment, and career advancement through online learning. Students were encouraged to make effective use of the platform by enrolling in courses aligned with their academic interests and career aspirations..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To inspire the newly admitted students, Bhavana, Kayva, Sanjana, Shobitha, Sakeena, Shilpa and Jeevan<\/strong>, who had successfully completed NPTEL\u2013SWAYAM courses, shared their learning experiences and highlighted the academic and professional benefits they gained through the program. They motivated the first-year students to actively participate in NPTEL courses and make continuous learning a part of their academic journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The orientation sessions received an enthusiastic response from the students. A total of 140 students<\/strong> attended the session held on 21st<\/sup> July<\/strong> 2026<\/strong> , while 150 students<\/strong> participated in the session conducted on 24th<\/sup> July 2026<\/strong> for The interactive question-and-answer session at the end enabled students to clarify their queries regarding course selection, enrolment, assignments, examinations, and certification. The program concluded on a positive note, with a majority of the participants expressing interest in the initiative and successfully enrolling in NPTEL\u2013SWAYAM courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
