The NSS Unit of Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College organized an Anti-Tobacco Day Awareness Program<\/strong> on 31st May 2026<\/strong> in observance of World No Tobacco Day<\/strong>. The programme was conducted on the college campus with the objective of creating awareness among students and the general public about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 250 students<\/strong> actively participated in the programme. Principal Dr. Rekha Sethi, NSS Officer Dr. L. Jayapandian, Faculty Members, and students<\/strong> took part in the awareness initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Roselin, Head of the Department of Life Science,<\/strong> was the resource person for the programme. She delivered an informative talk on the harmful effects of tobacco on human health, the diseases caused by tobacco use, and the importance of adopting a tobacco-free lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the observance of World No Tobacco Day<\/strong>, an awareness rally was conducted by the NSS volunteers and students. The rally carried placards and raised slogans highlighting the ill effects of tobacco, encouraging people to stay away from tobacco products and promote a healthy, tobacco-free society. The programme successfully created awareness among the students as well as the general public about the importance of preventing tobacco use and protecting public health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
