Essay Competition

The ANTI SEXUAL HARASSMENT CELL organized essay competition for UG students On 23rd January 2023 on the topics:

 1. life after sexual abuse

2. How to evade sexual abuse

3. The negative role of media in encouraging sexual abuse

On total 39 students participated in essay competition and backed prizes. Certificates were provided for all the participants

Gender Equality and Safety Measures for Men

The cell organized a guest lecture for the degree students on the topic ” Gender equality and Safety measures for Men”

Anti sexual harassment cell organized a guest talk on ” Gender equality and Safety measures for men” which enhances the upcoming scenario of the public issue that the victims were women but the resource person alarmed the students regarding the consequences under law which is against men under Indian Penal Code. However now it is important to understand that in most of the cases men are the victims irrespective of their acts, whether the mistake was committed by them or not. 

Outcome:  Students had an exposure on how to safeguard themselves from these types of traps and beware of regulations in the eyes of the Law.

Debate Competition

The ANTI SEXUAL HARASSMENT CELL organized a Debate Competition for UG students on 27th January 2023 on the topic “Cultural reforms on gender Equity (Emotional maturity to overcome sexual harassment)”.

On total 20 students participated in essay competition and backed prizes.

Certificates were provided for all the participants.

Awareness programme

On 12th December 2022, The anti sexual harassment cell organized an Awareness programme for the UG students. It focused on creating awareness to the students about do’s and don’ts of sexual Harassment under the theme — which ‘No’ you did  not understand.

Program outcome: 200  Students from various departments attended the event and gained the exposure on silence hides the violence and the theme motivated to voice out and stand for self dignity.

Awareness programme on Voiceout

The anti sexual harassment cell organized an Awareness programme on the theme Voiceout.

Dated 17th August 2022 the anti sexual harassment cell organized an Awareness programme creating an awareness among the students regarding the existence and importance of the cell in building confidence unwelcome physical contact amidst in and around the campus.

Programme outcomes: Students acknowledged the goodness and the functioning of the cell and actively participated to voice out against social abuse and understood the legal aspect in relation to the cell to appeal U/S 354A of the Indian penal code of 1960 subjected to prescribed punishment.

Number of participants 131 students of all streams.
