Field Visit

The Department of Life Science organized a field visit from 5 June 2026 to 10 June 2026 at A. Mothakapalli. The visit focused on the topics of Soil Biology and Soil Health.

During the visit, students gained practical knowledge about the importance of soil pH, nutrient availability, and organic pest control in sustainable agriculture. The program provided insights into the relationship between soil health and crop productivity, helping students understand the biological processes that support healthy soil ecosystems.

A total of 280 students participated in the field visit. They learned about the applications of organic farming practices and biopest control systems, observing how environmentally friendly methods can be used to improve agricultural productivity while reducing dependence on chemical inputs.

The field visit offered valuable hands-on experience and enhanced students’ understanding of sustainable soil management and organic agricultural practices.
