The Department of Life Science observed National Nutrition Week 2026 to raise awareness about the importance of nutrition and encourage healthier eating habits. The observance focuses on helping people understand their nutritional needs and the role that food plays in maintaining health.

Flash Mob Department of Life Science conducted Flash Mob on 31st August 2026 to spread the awareness on Discover the power of nutrition in a fun and energetic through a flash mob for the students ,teaching and non-teaching staff 0f SBMJFGC,KGF.




1st September 2026
Inaugural Ceremony The National Nutrition Week programme commenced on 1st September 2026 with the inauguration by our respected Principal, Dr.RekhaSethi. As part of the inaugural ceremony, the Tree with nutrients was unveiled, highlighting the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet.
Dr.RekhaSethi addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of mac rfo and micronutrients, irrespective of age. She highlighted the need for healthy dietary habits among the student community. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from 250 students and 8 faculty members, making the inaugural day informative, engaging, and meaningful.




Collage and Chrome art competitions
As part of the National Nutrition Week 2026 celebrations, the Department of Life Science organized a Collage and Chrome art competitions
on 1st September 2026. The competition aimed to encourage students to creatively express their understanding of balanced nutrition, healthy eating habits, and the importance of a nutritious diet.
A total of 24 students enthusiastically participated and showcased their creativity and awareness through informative and visually appealing collage and chrome art.

Memory Game and Identify me competitions
Memory Game and Identify me competitions were conducted on 2nd September 2026.
The competitions were designed to enhance students’ knowledge and awareness of nutrition, balanced diets, healthy eating habits, and overall well-being in an engaging and interactive manner.
A total of 60 students actively participated in the Memory Game and identify me competitions demonstrated enthusiasm and keen interest in the theme of nutrition.
3rd September 2026
Healthy Recipe Competition As part of the National Nutrition Week 2026 celebrations, the Department organized a Healthy Recipe Competition on 3rd September 2026
To promote awareness about the importance of nutritious and balanced food choices.
The competition encouraged students to appreciate the value of healthy eating habits and balanced nutrition and inspired them to make healthier food choices in their daily lives. 50 students actively participated in the competition.
7th September 2026
Awareness Program: Department of Life Science organized a public awareness programme at the local bus stand to spread the message of healthy nutrition among the general public.
Students and faculty members interacted with the public and created awareness about the importance of balanced nutrition, healthy food choices, adequate intake of essential nutrients, and healthy lifestyle practices. 40 students and 5 faculty members actively participated.
Quiz prelims and Collage Competition
Quiz prelims and Collage Competition were conducted on 7th September 2026.
The Quiz Competition was conducted to enhance students’ knowledge and awareness of nutrition, balanced diets, healthy eating habits, and the importance of proper nutrition for overall health and well-being. 55 students actively participated.


The Collage Competition provided students with a creative platform to express their ideas and awareness about healthy nutrition and lifestyle practices through attractive and informative visual presentations. 55 students actively participated.




8th September 2026
Quiz Final ,Nutrition Exhibition and Valedictory Ceremony
Quiz Final The Quiz Final conducted on 8th September 2026provided the shortlisted participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of nutrition, balanced diets, healthy food choices, and lifestyle practices. 5 Teams selected for finals and 10 students were actively participated.




Nutrition Exhibition
A Nutrition Exhibition was also organized on 8th September 2026, showcasing informative displays and creative exhibits related to balanced nutrition, food groups, healthy eating habits, and the importance of adequate nutrition for maintaining good health. The exhibition served as an effective platform for creating awareness among students and visitors.




Valedictory Ceremony
The programme concluded with the Valedictory Ceremony, marking the successful completion of the National Nutrition Week celebrations. The event highlighted the importance of adopting healthy dietary practices and spreading awareness about nutrition for a healthier and better quality of life.
