FDP on “Publication Ethics in Referred Journals”

Publication ethics are fundamental principles and standards that guide the writing, reviewing, and publishing processes in academic journals. In refereed or peer-reviewed journals, where manuscripts are evaluated by experts before publication, ethical standards are especially critical to maintaining the integrity of scholarly communication. The Code of Conduct Committee, in association with the IQAC Cell, organized a faculty development program on 30th May 2025 on the topic of Publication Ethics in Referred Journals. The resource person was Dr. Antony Gruze Thangaraj, Professor & Head, Post-Graduation, Department of Commerce, SBMJFGC, KGF. He spoke on the Key Ethical Principles in Publishing, Author Responsibilities, Plagiarism and Misconduct, Peer Review Ethics, Editor and Publisher Responsibilities, Common Ethical Violation and Consequences of Ethical Breaches. IQAC Coordinator Dr. L Jayapandian and 30 faculty members participated in the faculty development program.

STP on “Time Management and Ethical use of work hours”

Time management and ethical use of work hours are essential for maintaining productivity, reducing stress, and ensuring high-quality work. Using work time responsibly builds trust, promotes fairness, and supports a positive workplace culture. The Code of Conduct Committee, in association with the IQAC Cell, organized a staff training program on 31st May 2025 on the topic “Time Management and Ethical Use of Work Hours.” The resource person was Ms. Shamala, Assistant Professor, Postgraduate Department of Commerce, SBMJFGC, KGF. She spoke on the key components of time management, the ethical use of work hours, the importance of time management, and how to balance work and personal life. Dr. L. Jayapandian, IQAC Coordinator, along with 13 non-teaching staff members, participated in the training program.

Workshop on ISO 21001:2018

The IQAC of SBMJFGC, KGF in Association with Garani Consultants conducted workshop on documentation and Internal Audit of ISO 21001:2018 from 26th March 2025 to 27th March 2025 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm in the auditorium.

Total 56 faculty members and 10 administrative staff participated in the program.

Skill Development Program on “Employability Skill Training Program for Women”

The IQAC in Association with Mahindra Pride Classroom, Naandi Foundation, Bengaluru conducted skill development program on Employability Skill Training Program for Women for all the streams of girls students from 17th February 2025 to 25th February 2025 in the auditorium, 101 classroom, 102 classroom and 406 classroom from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Topics: 1. Self Awareness 2. Professional Grooming 3. Cleanliness and Hygienic 4. Goal Setting 5. Time Management 6. Resume building 7. Email Etiquette 8.Group Discussion 9. Money Management.

Total 200 students participated and got benefitted in the program.

Career Guidance by Jet king

The IQAC in Association with Jet King Bengaluru organised career guidance program on Career Courses and conducted aptitude test for final year degree students on 20th February 2025 in the auditorium from 11:15 am to 12:10 pm. Dr. L. Jayapandian IQAC Co-ordinator and Ms. Kssturi L., Head Department of Commerce were present.

Total 156 students taken up the test.
