BBA 1st and 2nd Semester Students total – 60 students.
Objective:
The primary objective of the field visit to Jalappa Institute of Medical Science Hospital, Kolar, was to provide BBA students with a unique learning experience, exposing them to the medical field’s practical aspects, particularly in anatomy and forensic science.
Aim of the Visit:
- To observe and understand the preservation techniques used for human organs and specimens.
- To gain insights into forensic science applications in medical education and practice.
- To explore the importance of anatomy in medical science and its relevance to business management in healthcare.
Key Observations:
During the visit, students had the opportunity to witness:
- Museum of Preserved Human Specimens: Students observed preserved human brains, skulls, hearts, livers, kidneys, and fetuses, gaining a deeper understanding of human anatomy.
- Forensic Department: The visit to the forensic department provided insights into the application of forensic science in medical practice, including the analysis of evidence and investigation techniques.
- Dead Body Preservation: Students learned about the techniques used for preserving dead bodies and body parts, understanding the importance of preservation in medical education and research.
Outcomes:
The field visit provided students with a unique learning experience, enhancing their understanding of human anatomy, forensic science, and the importance of preservation techniques in medical education. The visit also sparked interest in exploring career opportunities in healthcare management and forensic science.
Conclusion:
The visit to Jalappa Institute of Medical Science Hospital was a valuable experience for the BBA students, providing a glimpse into the medical field’s practical aspects. The exposure to preserved human specimens, forensic science, and dead body preservation techniques broadened their knowledge and understanding of the subject.
