The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Unit of SBMJC conducted the NCC Enrolment Programme on 29th July 2025 for the academic year 2025–26. The programme aimed at selecting physically fit, enthusiastic, and disciplined students to be inducted as new cadets into the NCC.
Purpose of the Enrolment
Objectives of the enrolment programme
- To identify and recruit eligible first-year students
- To assess students through physical and basic medical fitness tests
- To instill awareness about the commitment and responsibilities of being an NCC cadet
Officials Present
The enrolment process was conducted under the supervision and guidance of officers from 10 KAR BN NCC, Kolar, and college NCC staff. The following officials were present:
From 10 KAR BN NCC:
- SM Appal Swami – Senior representative supervising the overall process
- Subedar Ravi – Conducted documentation checks and briefed the students
- Havaldar Talwar – Carried out physical fitness assessments
- Havaldar Arun Kumar – Assisted in medical checks and general discipline
From SBMJC:
- CTO Mayur A. Wadeyar – Coordinated and supported the entire enrolment process, ensuring smooth operations and student management on campus
Enrolment Procedure
The enrolment process was carried out in the following systematic steps:
- Document Verification:
Candidates submitted required documents including photographs, identity proof, and academic records. - Physical Fitness Test:
Students were tested on endurance and basic physical standards, including running, push-ups, sit-ups, and flexibility. - Medical Screening:
A preliminary health check was done to ensure medical fitness. - Observation & Interaction:
Officers evaluated candidates based on attitude, discipline, and interest in NCC activities.
Student Response
A large number of students participated enthusiastically, showing keen interest in joining the NCC. The selection team appreciated the discipline, punctuality, and dedication shown by the students during the process.
Contribution of CTO and Senior Cadets
CTO Mayur A. Wadeyar, with the help of senior cadets, ensured all logistical and administrative support was provided. The cadets assisted in registration, crowd management, and guided the new students throughout the enrolment process.
The NCC Enrolment Programme at SBMJC on 29th July 2025 was a well-executed and successful event. With the support and guidance of officers from 10 KAR BN NCC and active involvement from the college NCC Unit, the programme concluded smoothly with the selection of a promising new batch of cadets. The event reflected the institution’s commitment to fostering discipline, leadership, and patriotism in its students.
