The Department of Commerce of Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College organized a Village Cleaning Program at Kamasamudram on 14th March 2026 as part of the national cleanliness initiative Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The main objective of the program was to promote cleanliness, environmental awareness, and social responsibility among students and the local community. Students and staff members from the Department of Commerce actively participated in the activity. Participants were encouraged to contribute towards building a healthy and hygienic environment.
During the program, the students cleaned different areas of the village including streets, public spaces, and surrounding areas. Waste materials such as plastic, paper, and other litter were collected and disposed of properly. The activity helped in improving the cleanliness of the village and also created awareness among villagers about the importance of sanitation and proper waste management.
The students worked enthusiastically and demonstrated teamwork and dedication towards community service. The villagers appreciated the efforts of the participants and supported the initiative.
The Village Cleaning Program was a meaningful experience for the students as it helped them understand the importance of environmental responsibility and community engagement. The event concluded successfully with active participation from all the volunteers, contributing positively to the goals of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
