The Student Welfare Council (SWC) in association with Placement cell organized  an “Placement Training Program ” to all final year Degree and PG Students.

Introduction:
A Placement Training Program was successfully conducted at SBMJC, KGF, with the objective of preparing final-year students for employment opportunities. The session focused on enhancing students’ soft skills, self-awareness, and employability.

Chief Address:
Dr. Rekha Sheti, Principal of SBMJC, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of skill development, confidence building, and active participation in placement training programs.
Topics Covered:
1.Introduction to Magic Bus Foundation
2.Self-Awareness and Personal Development
3. Interactive Activities and Group Exercises

Activities Conducted:
The trainers conducted engaging activities focused on building confidence, improving communication, enhancing teamwork, and developing self-awareness.

Conclusion:
The Placement Training Program was highly beneficial for students, providing practical insights into career readiness and skill enhancement.

Day-2 Placement Training Program on Communication Skills and Goal Setting

Participants:196 Students.

The Student Welfare Council (SWC) in association with Placement cell organized  an “Placement Training Program ” to all final year Degree and PG Students.

Introduction:
A Replacement Training Program was organized with the objective of enhancing students’ employability skills and preparing them for placement opportunities. The session focused on developing communication abilities, goal-setting techniques, and practical engagement through activities.

Objectives of the Program

• To improve students’ communication skills

• To help students understand the importance of goal setting

• To provide practical exposure through activities

• To prepare students for placement and interview processes


Topics Covered:

a) Communication Skills

Students learned verbal and non-verbal communication, body language, active listening skills, and interview communication techniques.

b) Goal Setting

Students were introduced to SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound), along with short-term and long-term planning strategies.

The trainers conducted engaging activities focused on Verbal and non verbal communication, Goal setting

 
Conclusion:
The placement Training Program was highly beneficial and informative. The sessions conducted by Mr. Naveen and Mr. Nikhil were engaging and practical. Students gained valuable knowledge and skills that will support them in their placement journey and future careers.

Day-3  Placement Training Program on Interview skills and interview preparations

The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by focusing on interview techniques, communication skills, and professional behavior.

• To build confidence and reduce interview anxiety
• To provide knowledge about commonly asked interview questions
• To develop professional etiquette and presentation skills
• To improve problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

Interview Preparation:
• Importance of interview preparation and research about the company
• Resume writing techniques and highlighting strengths
• Professional dress code and grooming standards
• Body language, eye contact, and communication techniques
• Time management and punctuality

Interview Questions:
• Frequently asked HR interview questions such as ‘Tell me about yourself’, ‘Strengths and weaknesses’
• Technical and subject-related questions
• Situational and behavioral questions
• Strategies to structure answers effectively using real-life examples
• Do’s and Don’ts during interviews
