To mark a strong stand against drug abuse and promote healthy living among youth, Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College, KGF, in collaboration with the Police Department and the NCC Unit, organized a massive Anti-Drug Awareness Rally and Pledge-Taking Program.
The rally was flagged off at the Municipality Ground, KGF, and covered key locations including Soorajmul Circle, Gandhi Circle, Prichard Road, and Geetha Road, before concluding at the Robertsonpet Police Station. The streets of KGF echoed with powerful slogans such as “Say No to Drugs”, “Youth Against Drugs”, and “Healthy Mind, Drug-Free Life”, capturing public attention and spreading a strong anti-drug message.
A total of 20 NCC cadets and over 250 students from our college actively participated in the rally. The participants marched with enthusiasm, raising powerful slogans such as “Say No to Drugs” and other awareness messages, drawing the attention of the general public and inspiring community engagement in the fight against drug abuse.
The event was presided over by Dr. Rekha Sethi, Principal of the college, who addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of youth involvement in social issues, particularly drug prevention.

The rally concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, where students and faculty members vowed to stay away from drugs and become ambassadors of a drug-free society.

The collaboration between the college, the police department, and the NCC unit served as a powerful reminder of the collective effort needed to combat drug abuse in our communities.
