BBA Outreach Programme at Governament High School, Kayasambally and Rural High School Kayasambally – 2022

The Final Year BBA students organised outreach program at St. Theresa’s school, KGF, on 4th February 2022.

  • The Students created awareness on COVID-19 and Omicron
  • Food were distributed to the students at the school.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM ON ONLINE CERTIFICATION COURSE

The Library and Information Centre has conducted Orientation program on online certification course such as NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning), Coursera and Linked in.

The orientation was conducted on 7th January 2022 to the first year students of B.com, BBA, BCA, BSC. (PMCS), and BGB.

Number of students participated: 350

  • OBJECTIVE:
  • To create awareness about the online certification courses provided by NPTEL, Coursera and linked in.
  • To guide the students how to join the online course by installing  the Swayam application in the smart phone
  • To encourage and motivate the students to join the online course.
  • To highlight the past results of senior students.

Outcome: Students were determined to join the course More 200 students joined the online course though NPTEL platform.

Rovers and Rangers Black Day

Rovers and Rangers observed Black Day in Association with Jain College Human Rights Association on 14th February 2022.

World Cancer Day 2022

The Department of Life Sciences observed “World Cancer Day 2022” on 4th February 2022 with the theme “Close the care gap

Objective: To prevent millions of deaths each year by raising awareness and education about cancer To reduce the number of cancer

The Department of Life Sciences created awareness among the faculty members and students of SBMJC KGF with the FLASH MOB. The students show cased about factors of Cancer and its prevention.480 students and 23 faculty members gained knowledge about prevention of cancer.

Awareness program Cancer is quite common, but awareness is poor among the general population. Poor awareness may lead to poor uptake of screening modalities and delay in diagnosis. Hence the Department of Life Science, SBMJFGC, KGF taken initiatives to create awareness for neighborhood community. The faculty members and students were distributed the pamphlets and educated the people about the risk factors and its prevention on 4th February 2022.The students interacted with the people and conveyed the message about the importance of regular screening and impact of life style changes.. 05 faculty members and 20 students were actively participated.

Guest Talk on HOW TO BE WELL DRESSED CONFIDENT WOMEN

Dated 07th February 2022, the Women Empowered Cell organized a “Guest Talk on How to be a well dressed confident woman” girl students gained an exposure on how they can be a confident women and further discussed on self grooming, body shapes, confidence building and everything related to an empowering an individual’s inner self.

Resource Person: Ms. Varsha Nahar R, Content Creator, Free Lancer Stylist, Kolar Gold Fields, No. of Participants: 250 Girl students and women faculties

Outcome: Students were able to adopt high level of confidence , self-efficacy to believe in their ability, positive assessment of one’s capabilities and low fear of failure,  Students actively participated and very much interested to adopt the techniques for developing self-confidence.
