The Eco Club observed World Earth Day with the theme Our power our planet on 22nd April 2025. The students were taken to King George Park to clean the garbage and to maintain hygienic environment for the public and children.
50 students and 2 faculty members actively participated in the clean up drive to promote environmental cleanliness.
An awarding ceremony conducted by the students of Commerce Wealth of Commerce (Department of Commerce) to honor and appreciate the dedicated efforts of the teachers was held on 11th April 2025 at the Conference. The students of the Forum made the event truly special were that it was entirely organized and felicitated by the students as a token of their gratitude.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by the Head student coordinator, who emphasized the irreplaceable role teacher’s play in shaping the future. This was followed by a soulful invocation and a cultural program, including performances prepared by the students to celebrate the spirit of teaching and learning.
Students presented gifts as tokens of appreciation and awards to their teachers. The event concluded with a vote of thanks. Light refreshments were served afterwards, giving everyone a chance to interact informally and celebrate together.
Overall, the ceremony was a touching tribute and a memorable day for both students and teachers, strengthening the bond between them and reaffirming the value of mutual respect and appreciation in the educational journey.

The Department of Commerce at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College successfully conducted the “Commerce Mega Mela,” an event aimed at providing students and entrepreneurs with a platform for learning, networking, and exploring various aspects of commerce and business. This event held on 5th April 2025 attracted a large number of participants, including students, faculty members and the outside vendors.
Principal Dr. Rekha Sethi addressed the gathering and appreciated the entire team work of the department and organizing such a wonderful Mela.
Various stalls by the outside proprietors were set up, showcasing innovative business ideas, products, and services to both students and faculty members. These stalls gave participants an opportunity to explore new concepts and interact with outside vendors.
The Commerce Mega Mela organized by the Department of Commerce proved to be a resounding success. The event not only provided students with crucial insights into the world of commerce and business but also gave them a platform to develop their skills but also developed network with the Entrepreneurs. The event served as a perfect blend of education, innovation, and networking, and its positive reception highlights the growing interest in commerce and business education.
The Department of Commerce is committed to organizing more such events in the future to continuously bridge the gap between academia and marketing.

Introduction
The Student Welfare Council (SWC) Installation Ceremony was conducted on the 3rd of April, 2025, in the auditorium. The event, organized by Mr. Praveen N (SWC Officer) and Mr. Changareddy (SWC Coordinator), marked the formal installation of newly elected SWC members and office bearers, continuing the legacy of student leadership and welfare initiatives. The ceremony was graced by chief guests Mrs. Afseena Tahsin, Former SWC President, Mr. H. Mohamed Younus, Former SWC President, and Mr. Gowtham R, Former SWC Secretary, with a total of 85 students participating.
Event Proceedings
The event commenced with Ms. Darshini and Ms. Abhinaya as the Masters of Ceremony, followed by a warm Welcome Address by Ms. Hajira. A symbolic act of watering a plant was performed by the guests to signify growth and sustainability. Ms. Purvika introduced the audience to SWC and its significance, followed by a march by all SWC members, demonstrating unity and commitment. Ms. Bhagyalakshmi presented a short video showcasing the past achievements of SWC. Principal Dr. Rekha Sethi delivered an inspiring speech on student leadership, followed by speeches from former SWC members, including Mrs. Afseena, Mr. Mohamed Younus, and Mr. Gowtham, who shared their experiences and emphasized the importance of responsibility and leadership. The newly elected members were then formally badged, followed by the oath-taking ceremony led by the Principal, instilling a sense of duty among the inductees. Ms. Ayesha delivered the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all attendees and organizers. The event concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem, reinforcing unity and patriotism.

The Department of Kannada Organized Kannada Utsava – 2025 on 29th March 2025. Dr. Rekha Sethi, Principal inaugurated and addressed the gathering by motivating the students to follow our state culture.
Dances like Kolata, and Folk Songs singing enthralled the audience.
The various competitions were conducted for the students like singing competition, Lecture competition on ´Nimma Nechhina Kannada Kaviya bgge Maatanaadi´, essay competition and Group Dance and Solo dance competition.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions.
