Teacher’s Day Celebration-2024

Participants: Admin staff, PUC , Degree students and Faculty members of various departments.

The Student Welfare Council (SWC) had taken the initiative to organize a Teachers Day celebration at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College KGF on September 5, 2024, and the celebration began at 11:30 a.m. in the conference hall. There were 95 faculty members and 35 students who participated. The program started with welcome speech by Ms. Swapna along with lighting of a lamp. The program was hosted by Ms. Alina muskan and Ms. Muskan anjum, SWC members. Welcome speech by  Ms. Aliya firdose, SWC member, followed by the inaugural speech by Dr. Rekha Sethi, Principal Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College KGF, Dr. Jayapandian, NSS officer and IQAC Coordinator, and Mr. Murali Kumar, PUC coordinator, who spoke about the significance of Teachers. A few games have been organized to entertain such as Treasure Hunt, IN-OUT, Tug Of War, . The program ended by vote of thanks by Ms. Asfiya Fathama, SWC member. Food was served after the end of the celebration.

SHRAMADHAN

The Rover’s unit of SBMJFGC,  KGF in coordination with the District Bharat Scouts and Guides Organiser Mr.Babu V conducted a Shramadhan programme by painting the compound wall of Govt.Higher Primary,School,Champion Reefs,KGF.

Ms.Banu,Headmistress of Govt.Higher primary school,Champion Reefs,KGF,along with School Teachers Ms.Mary and Mr.Srinivas Reddy and  other staff  joined us for the Event.

Mr. Nagesha P,Rovers scout leader along with 15 Rovers from the college actively involved  in the painting work.

Walkathon and Awareness Program

The anti sexual harassment cell organised a walkathon and awareness program cell on Saturday the 31st August 2024 more than 500 students, faculty members, non teaching staff participated in the walkathon and raised they are voice against women violence, justice for the victims and survivors followed by which there was an awareness program in the Auditorium on the team
“female shielding is our priority” the program was highlighted with the silent candle light prayer for the departed soul. Madam Kasturi the head department of Commerce welcome the gathering and brief the idea and motive behind organising the walkathon and awareness program.

Chief guest
Madam Charlotte Helen the head department of English brought the consciousness amongst the young generation and she educated the students about Apathy, Sympathy and Empathy.

Guest of Honor Ms. Banu millet Advocate, Robertsonpet, KGF. highlighted the session regarding the women’s responsibility in grooming the present generation and the students were educated POSH act with reference to prohibition and redressal.

Number of participants: 200 students and 20 faculty members from different streams.

Workshop on GST

The PG Department of commerce, Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College KGF organized intercollegiate GST Workshop on 30th August 2024, coordinated by Mr. Harish G assistant professor Department of commerce.

Resource Person: Mr. Anil Bharadwaj, Chartered Accountant Senior and founder partner Bharadwaj and Hosmat

Attendance: Total students attended:  200

– PG students from other institutions like Dr TTIT, GFGC KGF, Christ College Malur, and GFGC Vemgal were participated.

Workshop Overview:

The workshop on GST, led by Mr. Anil Bharadwaj, aimed to educate students on the fundamentals of Goods and Services Tax (GST). The session covered a comprehensive range of topics, including:

2. Essence of paying GST

3. Methods and types of GST

4. Supply and different types of supply

5. Input Tax Credit

Conclusion:

The GST workshop, led by Mr. Anil Bharadwaj, was a resounding success, providing valuable insights and knowledge to the attendees. The session achieved its objective of educating students on the intricacies of GST, equipping them with the necessary understanding to navigate the taxation landscape effectively and Students were awarded E-certificate for their participation.
