Orientation Programme on Anti-Ragging and Online-Affidavit Form Filling

The Anti-Ragging Cell organized an orientation program on anti-ragging and online affidavit form filling for I BCA students on September 19, 2024.

Mr. Muniraja D. K., Assistant Professor Department of Physics and Coordinator of Anti-Ragging Cell, gave a brief introduction about Anti-Ragging Cell, about ragging and its consequences and legal actions against the students who indulged in ragging and also explained about filling out the Anti-Ragging Form affidavit for students.

Around 160 students from BCA class and faculty members were present.

Student Welfare Council (SWC) Organised  awareness programme on “SAFETY MEASURES IN USING LPG” gas and maintanence.

The program was hosted by Ms. Abhinaya, Joint secretary of SWC and Ms.Dharshini, SWC volunteer. Welcome speech by Ms.Deepa, Vice president of SWC  , followed by the inaugural speech by Dr.Rekha Sethi, Principal, Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College KGF

Resource person Mr.Subramani from  Murthy Gas Agency, has given a brief explaination on how to save gas, Safety precautions and  measures taken during emergency. At the end of the session students have asked few question to resource person regarding LPG safety and measures.

Program ended with vote of thanks by Ms.Bhagya Lakshmi, secretary of SWC.

Plantation Programme

The Rovers and Rangers unit of SBMJC, KGF had a plantation programmeon 19th September 2024 at Scouts bhavan, KGF On behalf of the 76th Birthday of Shri.PGR Sindhiya, Sate Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka.

Mr.Suresh K R, District Commissoner, Mr.Babu V, District Organiser, Ms.Hemavathi, Guide Captain, Mr.Tejonanda, District Youth Community Director, Mr.Gowri Shankar, Head Quarter Commissioner, Ms. Sangeetha D S Ranger Leader, Mr. Nagesha P, Rovers Scout Leader were present.

Lifestyle modification for prevention of cardiac disorders

The Rotaract Club of SBMJC-KGF collaborated with Rotary Club of Kolar Gold
Fields, for a seminar on “lifestyle modifications for prevention of cardiac disorders”
The seminar was to educate the young generation to reduce their stress of heart
disease and improve overall health.

Around 170 students from SBMJC, 30 teachers from various schools, and 10 faculty from SBMJC were part of the event.

The guest speaker for the event was:

  2. Dr. Bharath Kiran
    MBBS, MDH (Anesthesia)

Awareness Program on Menstruation.

The Rotaract Club of SBMJC-KGF organized an awareness program on
menstruation on 13th September 2024 in the auditorium from 1:45 pm to 2:40 pm. The program aimed to dispel myths and stigma surrounding
menstruation, promoting a healthy and positive attitude towards this natural
biological process.

“Dr. Rohini Muralidhar, our distinguished guest speaker, shared her expertise on mensuration with us at the event.

To educate and raise awareness about menstruation and related issues among
students.

The awareness program on menstruation was a huge success, with an enthusiastic.

participation of 200 students.
