The Department Of Commerce organised a Guest Talk on 24/9/24 for the 2nd and 1st year B.Com students on the subject Indian Constitution and Human Rights.
The guest of the day Mr.Gideon George Jeffrey, Professor, Dominic Harvest Bible College.KGF. The guest briefed about the PREAMBLE of Indian Constitution and interacted with the students on their fundamental rights and duties.
No of participants : 250 students and 4 concerned faculty incharge were present.
Counseling Centre conducted Orientation Program for I Year I SEMBCA total 136 students (A, B & C Section) students,dated on 19thSeptember 2024 at 10.00 am in the Auditorium and for I Year I SEM B.Com BBA and B.Sc.90 students dated on 19th September 2024 at 12.10 pm in the Auditorium.

Connotation of Counseling:-
Counseling refers to the process of providing guidance, support, and advice to individuals or groups who may be facing personal, emotional, psychological, or interpersonal challenges. It is a form of talk therapy, it will give advice or professional help to resolve personal or psychological problems. It is a purposeful learning oriented and private interview between the counselor and counselee. It is the individualized and personalized assistance with personal, educational, vocational problems. It is the process where an students meet with a trained professional counselor to talk about their academic and personal issues.
Objective:
To organize awareness program for students in suitable concepts.
To achieve positive mental health
Resolve their academic and personal issues and put them on right track with confident.
To encourage students to develop special abilities and right attitudes.
To establish mutual understanding between Counselor and Counselee
Outcomes:
Helps people to move towards their goals.
It enhances their overall wellbeing & takes the initiative of putting back the students on the right track.
It created positive mind set towards the students.
The motivational speech created how to face the personal & inter personal problems in the society.

The Student Welfare Council (SWC) conducted an Election for a New Board of Directors (BOD’s) for the academic year 2024-2025 on 12th September 2024 through online mode (Google Form).
The Anti-Ragging Cell organized an orientation program on anti-ragging and online affidavit form filling for I BCA students on September 19, 2024.
Mr. Muniraja D. K., Assistant Professor Department of Physics and Coordinator of Anti-Ragging Cell, gave a brief introduction about Anti-Ragging Cell, about ragging and its consequences and legal actions against the students who indulged in ragging and also explained about filling out the Anti-Ragging Form affidavit for students.
Around 160 students from BCA class and faculty members were present.

Student Welfare Council (SWC) Organised awareness programme on “SAFETY MEASURES IN USING LPG” gas and maintanence.
The program was hosted by Ms. Abhinaya, Joint secretary of SWC and Ms.Dharshini, SWC volunteer. Welcome speech by Ms.Deepa, Vice president of SWC , followed by the inaugural speech by Dr.Rekha Sethi, Principal, Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College KGF
Resource person Mr.Subramani from Murthy Gas Agency, has given a brief explaination on how to save gas, Safety precautions and measures taken during emergency. At the end of the session students have asked few question to resource person regarding LPG safety and measures.
Program ended with vote of thanks by Ms.Bhagya Lakshmi, secretary of SWC.
