The Instant Reel Making Competition aimed to:

POSTER PRESENTATION

Poster making is a powerful and versatile tool for communication, used for Education, Advertisement and social awareness. Posters can simply grab the attention, convey messages effectively and even inspire action, making them valuable in various contexts.

  In this connection our college conducted poster making the offstage event as a part of Aavishkar in which 74 students actively participated to showcase their talent in designing various posters. This shall really enhance creativity, skills and knowledge to know the world. It also promotes integrity, patriotism, and bring social awareness among the students

Guidance for Competitive Examination

Audience: First Year Bcom Students

A Career Guidance Program was organized by the Final Year Bcom Students of Department of Commerce with the aim of providing valuable insights into competitive and professional career paths—UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). The initiative was designed to foster peer learning, clarify common misconceptions, and help juniors make informed decisions regarding their career goals.

Program Objectives:

  • To introduce students to the career opportunities offered by UPSC and ACCA.
  • To share practical preparation strategies and personal experiences.
  • To encourage early planning and goal-setting for professional success.
  • To promote awareness of study resources, coaching, and time management.

Session Highlights:

1. UPSC Session (Civil Services Examination)

Speaker: Ms. Kritika Krishnan and Asfiya Fatima Final Year Bcom Students

  • Provided an overview of the exam structure: Prelims, Mains, and Interview stages.
  • Discussed eligibility criteria, subjects, and optional paper choices.
  • Shared study techniques, including NCERT book usage, mock tests, and daily newspaper reading.
  • Highlighted online platforms, coaching institutes, and time management strategies.
  • Emphasized the importance of perseverance and current affairs awareness.

2. ACCA Session (Global Professional Accounting Qualification)

Speaker: Aaliya Firdous and Aleena Muskan  Final Year Bcom Students, Introduced the ACCA qualification, global recognition, and career benefits.

  • Explained the exam levels: Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills, and Strategic Professional.
  • Clarified exemptions available for commerce background students.
  • Shared details on registration, fees, study materials, and coaching options.
  • Highlighted internship requirements and job prospects both in India and abroad.

WORLD SCARF DAY

Objective: To celebrate world scarf day

Each year on August 1, scouts across the world celebrate World Scout Scarf Day. This day is for all active and former scout members to showcase their scout pride by wearing their scarf’s in public. Hence, over time, the scouts’ scarf has become a symbol of strength and courage.

The Rovers and Rangers unit of SBMJC, KGF celebrated world Scarf Day and shared the importance of Scarf Day with the students. Students learnt the law and Prayer of scouts.

The Chief Guest Dr.Rekha Sethi, Principal, SBMJC, KGF emphasized the significance of Scarf day.

Mr. Nagesha P, Rover Scoute Leader, Ms.Elizebeth Rani, Ranger Guide Leader, Ms.Sangeetha D S, Ranger Guide Leader were present.

OUTCOME: Students understood the importance of Scarf Day.

Orientation Program by B.Sc-PMCs

Mr. Kalai Chalvan, HOD of the Physical Science Department, organized an orientation session for the SEP batch students on July 07, 2025. The primary objective of the orientation program was to welcome and introduce the new batch of students to the PMCs course, familiarize them with the college environment, and provide essential information to ensure a smooth transition. Additionally, the program aimed to inform students about the various job opportunities available in the field, along with guidance on higher education options after PMCs, preparation for government examinations, and insights into potential salary packages.
