DRUG AWARENEESS PROGRAM

A Drug Awareness Program was recently held at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College on 16th September 2025. The event, organized by the Anti-Drug Cell,

Anti-Drug Cell is dedicated to creating a drug-free campus by promoting awareness and prevention of substance abuse. It strives to provide guidance, counselling, and support to students, ensuring a healthy and safe environment.

Anti-drug awareness program aim to educate the students and public about the dangers of drug use and promote healthy living.

Awareness Programs are conducted to sensitize the student community on the harmful effects on drug & alcohol addiction. Digital addiction which is an upcoming common issue is also discussed and awareness on harmful effects of screen addiction is facilitated.

Objectives:

Organize programs, workshops, and campaigns that educate the public, particularly youth, about the risks of drug use, the signs of addiction, and the available support systems for recovery    

Resource person Sri Pushpa Sub Inspector of Exercise give a speech about, preventing substance abuse and intervening early can make a big difference. Educating young people about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, as well as promoting healthy ways to cope with stress and problems, can help reduce the risk of addiction

    POSTER MAKING COMPETITION BY ANTI-DRUG CELL

    A Poster-Making Competition was recently held at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College on 26th June 2025, with the theme of “Delete Drugs or They Will Delete You From This World“. The event, organized by the Anti-Drug Cell, Anti-drug awareness posters aim to educate the students and public about the dangers of drug use and promote healthy living. Participants showcased their artistic skills and understanding of the theme through a variety of posters, expressing how to Increase awareness and knowledge of the potential health, social and legal. The competition was well-received, with a large number of students participating and creating impressive posters. 

    Objectives:The primary objectives of the Conduction Poster-Making Competition are:

    1. To Promote Drug Aware as a Source of credible and accurate information on illicit drugs.
    2. To Increase awareness and knowledge of the potential health, social and legal
    3. To provide accurate information about different types of drugs, their effects, and their legal status.
    4. To Promote national adoption of drug-free workplace programs that emphasize a comprehensive program that includes: drug testing, education, prevention.

    Outcomes and Conclusion:

    • The competition served as a platform for students to express their creativity and develop their understanding of the “Drug Awareness” initiative. 
    • It provided an opportunity for students to learn about to prevent the initiation of drug use and the increase to addiction in those who have already initiated use.
    • The event was a success, with participants gaining valuable experience in poster design, thematic interpretation, and presentation skills. 
    • The competition concluded with a distribution of prizes or certificates to the winners.

    Awareness program on “Drug Menance”

    The  IQAC and Anti drug cell of SBMJFGC, KGF in association Excise Department, Bangarpet organized an awareness program on “Drug menance” on 15th December 2023.

    The program was hosted by Ms. Aruna N. Asst. Prof., Welcome speech by Mr. Praveen SWC officer, followed by the inaugural speech by Dr. Rekha Sethi, Principal Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College KGF,

    Ms. Prakruti P Jain, Sub inspector of excise department, Bangarpet, who spoke about the drug abuse by young people and how dangerous to themselves, family, friends, and society
