Rural women entrepreneurship can contribute to economic growth in developing countries. the speaker gave awareness on various entrepreneur opportunities and financial assistance available to start any venture.

 Objectives 1. Awareness and Opportunities for Rural Women Entrepreneurship   2. Financial assistant from GOI towards motivating rural entrepreneurship

Outcome: The attendees got knowledge about entrepreneur activities, types of rural entrepreneurship, government schemes such as Mudra loan for women  Stree Shakti Yojana, Dena Shakti scheme etc and banks offering such loans to promote rural women entrepreneurship.

WORKSHOP ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Objective

1. To give awareness about Intellectual property Rights among students

2. To give insights about inclusions under IPR like copy rights, patents, trade mark and other creation of human intellect

No of students participated: 50

Outcome:

The workshop was full of knowledge as students were unaware of IPR, and procedure of filing the patents.

The lecture concluded with an interactive question and answer session.

Employability Soft Skill Training Program

The IQAC and Placement Cell of SBMJFGC KGF in association with Naandi foundation and Mahindra pride classroom organised Employability soft skill training program for final year girls from 2nd January 2023 to 7th January 2023.

168 girls participated in the training session

“FLYOUT”

On 15th December 2022, Thursday, the Department of Commerce organized a mega event “FLYOUT” YOUNG MINDS MAKE DIFFERNCE, exclusively for I year B.com students.

            The concepts were presented through power point presentation and models, students gained practical exposure by role play, cost concept, Product Life cycle, Demand and Supply and also analyzed various marketing and management strategies. This also enhanced the theoretical knowledge for the student community.

    The session was inaugurated by Honorable Principal Dr. Rekha Sethi, HoD Commerce Ms. Kasturi L, Guest of the day Ms. Maheshwari A, Senior Tax Analyst, BNY MELLON and also proud Alumni 2017, Mr. Rahul, Data Processing analyst NielsenIQ and also proud Alumni 2021.

120 Participants from I year B.com who took active part and gained knowledge. 05 III year B.com students acknowledged the session.
