The adoption of NEP by the DCE as envisioned by the central Government has been a revolutionary change in the academia. This step presupposes major structural shifts in the courses offered. The thrust is mainly on multidisciplinary programs with the introduction of open electives. It is also skill oriented and job oriented. The open electives to be opted are based on the principles of cross course choices. A significant change has been made with increasing the internal assessment marks. The highlights of this is the flexibility offered to the students to obtain the marks through the enrolment for MOOCs. The system is geared towards blended teaching and learning. Importance to the economic aspects with flexibility to earn and learn is a major change with multiple entry and exit opportunities. Recognizing the importance for teachers’ orientation to attune themselves to the new system, a one day workshop on NEP –Issues, implications and challenges has been organized in collaboration with Bengaluru North University

Madam spoken about drawback of E-waste if we through it in garbage it create air pollution and it affects human health.
Objective of the Program: The major objective of e-waste management is to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Some of the e-waste consists of valuable covering or materials inside which can be reused or recycled. Whereas some of the e-waste may contain hazardous chemical materials which should be disposed of carefully without causing harm to nature.
Models Done by Students Using E-waste:
- Iron Man: Components used Motherboard, Keyboard keys and LED lights data cables & sata cable
- Miniature: Components used: Resistors, Capacitors, inductors, diode, Transistors, Heat sink, Breadboard, IC’S, CD.PCB Board, Keyboard keys & Aux port
- Drone: Components used: Keyboard keys, Motor, cell, receiver board & Joystick.
- Samurai Robot (SR)2 : Components Used: Mother board, Keyboard, CPU Fan, Cables, LED Lights, SMPS & CPU Cabinet.
