Field Visit Report: Jalappa Institute of Medical Science Hospital, Kolar

Date: 6th August 2025

Participants: Ms. Sujatha .M, Asst. professor, Dept of management studies with
BBA 1st and 2nd Semester Students total – 60 students.

Objective:

The primary objective of the field visit to Jalappa Institute of Medical Science Hospital, Kolar, was to provide BBA students with a unique learning experience, exposing them to the medical field’s practical aspects, particularly in anatomy and forensic science.

Aim of the Visit:

  1. To observe and understand the preservation techniques used for human organs and specimens.
  2. To gain insights into forensic science applications in medical education and practice.
  3. To explore the importance of anatomy in medical science and its relevance to business management in healthcare.

Key Observations:

During the visit, students had the opportunity to witness:

  1. Museum of Preserved Human Specimens: Students observed preserved human brains, skulls, hearts, livers, kidneys, and fetuses, gaining a deeper understanding of human anatomy.
  2. Forensic Department: The visit to the forensic department provided insights into the application of forensic science in medical practice, including the analysis of evidence and investigation techniques.
  3. Dead Body Preservation: Students learned about the techniques used for preserving dead bodies and body parts, understanding the importance of preservation in medical education and research.

Outcomes:

The field visit provided students with a unique learning experience, enhancing their understanding of human anatomy, forensic science, and the importance of preservation techniques in medical education. The visit also sparked interest in exploring career opportunities in healthcare management and forensic science.

Conclusion:

The visit to Jalappa Institute of Medical Science Hospital was a valuable experience for the BBA students, providing a glimpse into the medical field’s practical aspects. The exposure to preserved human specimens, forensic science, and dead body preservation techniques broadened their knowledge and understanding of the subject.

Orientation Program BBA-2025

The Department of Business Administration at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College, KGF, organized orientation program for I sem BBA students on July 7th, 2025. The program started with The Department’s activities, including academic curriculum, Internship, and other initiatives, were highlighted to give students a clear understanding of what to expect. Additionally, the career opportunities available to BBA Undergraduates were discussed, providing students with insights into potential career paths and industry expectations. About 52 students participated in the event.

Dr. Tony Lazarus Prem Kumar J, Head of the Department of Business Administration, presided over the program, offering valuable Insight, guidance and encouragement to the students.

National Level Conference by Department of Commerce and Business Administration – 2025

National Level conference held on 29th April, 2025 at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College, Organized by Department of Commerce and Business Administration.

The conference featured Dr. N. Raveendranath Kaushik, CMA (SEBI Certified Social impact Assessor for Social Stock Exchange Bengaluru), Keynote Speaker, C A Vinodh Chandra Charted Accountant, CEO MyLogic Business School, Finance Controller Century Link Technologies USA, Resource Person, Dr. D. kalaivani, Associate Professor, Department of Information Science and Engineering, NHCE Bengaluru, Technical Chairperson, Discussing the Role of New Generation Technologies and its Applicability in the Field of Commerce and Management.

This conference was attended by 100 Delegates exploring Innovation in Commerce and Management with 30 Research paper presented.

The conference proceedings were published in AE International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research(Peer-reviewed journal) ISSN Number 2277-5684.

Key Concepts discussed in the conference:-This National Level Conference witnessed an amalgamation of peerless speakers who enlightened the crowd with their knowledge.

The session started with welcome address by Ms. Sandhya, Assistant Professor, with the introduction of resource person and felicitation.

Principal Dr. Rekha Sethi has given a brief talk on overview of the conference. The dignitaries along with principal, IQAC Coordinator, Heads of various Departments, Faculty members and participants from various reputed institutions inaugurated the ceremony.

Keynote Speaker Dr. N. Raveendranath Kaushik, Deliverd the Keynote address.

C A Vinodh Chandra and Dr. Kalaivani, addressed the technical session, the technical session explored New Generation Technologies and its Applicability in the Field of Commerce and Management.The Best Paper presentation was awarded by the dignitaries to the participants, Dr. Vikram, Assistant Professor, GFGC, KGF, Research Scholar Mr. Narashima, Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa.

The conference report presentation was given by Dr. Kasturi L, Finally Mr. Harish Assistant Professor, Expressed Gratitude through Vote of Thanks, Followed by National Anthem.

Pre Interview Training Program 2025

The Department of Business Administration organized pre interview training Program on Thursday 24th Apr, 2025, about 37 students form III year BBA had participated.

Outcome: This Program helped to get insight into how to crack the interview.

Joy of Giving 2025

The Department of Business Administration and Management Forum organized Mega event “Joy of Giving” on 24th March 2025, at the college campus the program envisaged in holistic development of the BBA Students and provided with food and gifts, as a mark of CSR Activity. In which 130 school children from 5 different Schools participated and received gifts like School Bag, Writing pad, Books, Water bottle, pen, pencil, Scale, Eraser, Pencil box, Crayons, Biscuit, Chocolate,  Towel, Rice, Wheat Floor, Lunch and Snacks.

Out come: This Program helped in bringing an new approach towards the society and wellbeing.
