The Department of Life Science organized Guest Lecture on career guidance in the field of Life Science on 5th June 2024
The resource person Mr. Dhanush S (Alumni), M.Sc Bioinformatics, REVA University, Bengaluru encouraged the students to higher education in the respective field.
54 students participated and gained knowledge on the importance of higher studies.

The Department of Life Science brought an awareness on the new variant COVID-19 sub-variant JN.1 at SBMJFGC, KGF and public on 29th December 2023.
The students showcased the awareness on symptoms and preventive measures of the same by flash mob. The mask was distributed to the faculty members, ground staffs and public.
As many as 145 COVID-19 sub-variant JN.1 have been detected in the country since 28th December. The awareness was given to the public by road rally. 30 students and 6 faculty members actively participated in the road rally and distribution of masks.
The Department of Life Science in association with General Hospital, KGF organized blood test (Hb level) on 13th December 2023 for the students at SBMJC, KGF and provided medication for the anaemic individuals.
250 students and 20 faculty members participated in the event.
The Department of Life Science in association with Indian Medical Council KGF, KGF Taluk Legal Services Committee, Taluk Health Department KGF and Advocates Association KGF participated in Mega rally from Municipal stadium to observe “The World AIDS Day with the theme” Let Communities Lead ” on 1st December 2023. 65 students and five faculty participated and made the event a great success .
