The ECO Club in association with Department of Life Science SBMJFGC, KGF observed World Environment Day with the theme ” Beat Plastic Pollution ” on 5th June 2023.
Road rally was conducted to bring awareness to the neighborhood community on plastic free zone. Dr Rekha Sethi, Principal , SBMJFGC, KGF outset the rally and motivated the students to reduce the usage of plastic in daily life.
250 students and 14 faculty members participated in the rally.
The Department of Life Science organized pick and speak competition for Science students on 22nd May 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.
31 students participated in the competition.

The Department of Life Science in association with IQAC organized a National Webinar on “Role of IPR in Science and Technology” on 25th May 2023.
Resource person: Dr.S.K.Murthy, Patent Counsel, Director of IP, Intel Technology Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru.
Flavours of IPR was discussed in the session.
100 participants participated in the webinar using Google Meet online platform and gained knowledge on Role of IPR in Science and Technology.
The Eco Club is organized awareness program on “Plastic Free Zone”for the public on 31stMay 2023 in order to sensitize the public on health impacts of plastic.
50 Students across the entire program participated in the awareness program and distributed paper bags to the vendors.
