The One day national workshop on Statistical Analysis and Interpretation using SPSS for Research Analysis was conducted on 24th May 2019. To provide a complete knowledge of using SPSS software in the field of social science, for this purpose Dr. Selva Kumar, Head PG Department of Commerce, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu was invited as Resource person.
The one day Workshop started with Inaugural function. It was started with a welcome speech by Ms.Akshaya.,N. PG Commerce forum President, presidential address by Sri Mahendra Kumar Munoth, Managing Trustee, and inaugural address by Dr. Rekha Sethi Principal, SBMJC KGF. Convener’s address by Dr.J.Anthony Gruze Thangaraj, Head PG Department of Commerce followed by this chief Gust Address by Dr. Selva Kumar. Before his speech he was introduced by Ms. Ramya G. Member of the PG Commerce Forum as a final schedule vote of thanks by Ms. Chaithra, R. PG Commerce forum Treasurer.
The one day national workshop started at 10:30Am. In the first session from 10:30 to 11:45 Pm the following contents were covered like introduction to SPSS, Data entry, and preparation of frequency tables and cross tab, etc. in the second session From 12:00 Pm. To 1:30 Pm. The following contents were discussed from Parametric Test like chi-Square test, One Sample T-Test, and Independent Sample Test. Followed by this the session was broken up for lunch break from 1:30 to 2:00 Pm.
The third session was started at 2:00 Pm. And Last till 3:30pm, at this session the following contents were covered from Non-Parametric Tests, like Man Whitney Rank Sum U-test, Krushkal wallis Test, Wilcoxon Test, etc..
Forth session was started from 3:45pm last till 5:00 Pm. The following contents were discussed form Parametric test like Correlation, Regression, Multivariate Analysis, Reliability checking, Multiple Regression, Factor Analysis and Discriminate Analysis etc…
Finally the one day work shop was concluded by having valedictory function where the resource person was the chief gust and he distributed the certificate to the participants from the different places of the state and outside the state. Followed by this feedback was being received from the partisans and workshop concluded by National anthem.
