The Department  organized  Guest Lecture for B.Sc  Biotechnology students on  “Recent Trends  in  Biosciences “ by Dr .Mahesh  M  CEO, Azyme Biosciences ,Bangalore and Mr.Ashwin.Dr.Mahesh  shared the  knowledge  on  the role of Life sciences in research field and in our daily life. He briefly discussed about  Bio pharmaceuticals,bio similar in treating various  diseases, properties of enzymes ,components  and their role in various metabolism in Yeast  and in different  organisms.

Mr.Ashwin shared his views about the role of students and time management to upgrade the knowledge to compete the global challenges.

Mr.Sarvotham, Principal.Royal Concorde Pu Colllege Bangalore also interacted with students  with his personal ex[erience  to overcome the barriers in youth life and to face the  competitive world. He spoke  about self motivation   and its crucial role in student’s life  to overcome the barriers.

Faculty members and  students actively participated and gained knowledge about Biopharmaceuticals and Bio similar,self motivation and time management.

District Level Leadership Workshop ( DLTW ) named Ashavattha was organised by Rotaract 3190 in Bangalore at PES university. Few of our Rotaractors along with Board directors attended the Workshop on 27th 0f august. The workshop focuses on Board directors, project chairs and other working members on their roles and responsibilities which is to be followed in the club.This was followed by general orientation for all the Rotaractors and exclusive assembly for the President and secretary.

It was pleasure for the School and the Rotaractors to meet again for new Agenda’s for the year 2017-2018. We have also included additional programmes likes Sports, Dance and Music for the over all development of students.They have also been taken special attention during the making of syllabus, keeping in point the overall curriculum of students. The School was more than happy with our last year’s approach and is looking forward to more exciting work!
