Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College witnessed a grand valedictory function on the 1st of April 2017. Throughout the academic year, the college has been abuzz with curricular and extra-curricular activities. This has been a colourful kaleidoscope of myriad activities that unleash the hidden potential in our students for their holistic personality development. The Department of Hindi conducted a National Seminar for students on the influence of media. Medals were distributed to all the SBMJC students who participated. Next we had the distribution of prizes for the students who took part in the seminar organized by the Govt. First Grade College, K. G. F. This was followed by the distribution of prizes for the students who won various competitions at the mega event- Shrusthi organized by the First Grade College, Oorgaum, K. G. F. The Student Welfare Association conducted a Youth Fest with several events. The first, second and third prize winners were felicitated with certificates and mementos.
Each and every department conducted various activities during the odd and even semesters as per the calendar of events. The distribution of prizes was held for these events. The first, second and third prize winners were rewarded for their achievements. The prizes were distributed by the Principal and the faculty members. The prize distribution was interspersed by cultural entertainment in the form of lively group dances and interesting games which made the valedictory function a truly memorable experience for one and all present.

To commemorate 154th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The History Department conducted the Yuva Diwas with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Dr.Rekha Sethi and paid due respect by garlanding the photo of Swami Vivekananda, followed by an invocation song and addressing the gathering was been given by the Chief Guest. Thereafter, a competition for the P.U. students was been conducted by the Department of History. Students from different stream participated in the debate competition based on the slogan of Swami Vivekananda. Three students were courageous enough to speak boldly and expose their talents. Prizes were distributed to them on the College Youth Day called as “SAMPARK”.
