The Department of Management Studies has organized an in-house guest lecture on ‘Employability Skills’ specifically designed for final year BBA students. The session, conducted by Mr. Dilip and Mr. Deekshith, Assistant Professors from the BCA Department, aimed to enhance computer skills related to competitive exams, projects, presentations, and more.
The topics covered included:
Latest versions of software and tools
Shortcut keys for increased productivity
Tips for effective project management and presentation skills
The objectives of the lecture were to:
Equip students with essential computer skills for the job market
Enhance their employability and career prospects
Provide hands-on experience with industry-relevant software and tools
The outcome of the lecture was a significant improvement in students’ understanding and application of computer skills, preparing them for future challenges.
The 2025-26 Pre-University Colleges Sports Meet was jointly organized by Al Amin Pre-University College and Mother Teresa Pre-University College, Kolar District from 24-10-2025 to 27-10-2025.
Students of Sri Bhagawan Mahavir Jain Pre-University College participated in Shuttle Badminton Boys and Girls, Hockey Boys, Jump Rope Boys, ball badminton boys, karate, wrestling, chess, shooting, etc. are selected for the state level as winners in competitions.
All these students were congratulated by Principal Dr. Rekha Sethi and Director of Physical Education Dr. Rakesh.
Kannada Rajyotsava, also known as Karnataka Formation Day or Karnataka Day, is celebrated
on 1st November of every year.
SBMJFGC. K.G.F celebrated the Kannada Rajyotsava with great joy and vigour on 1st November, 2025. The celebrations started with flag hoisting by dignitaries and the chief guest, the program was followed by invocation song by the student. The students and faculty member made the Rajyotsava ceremony a success by delivering speeches on the integration of Karnataka,
55 teaching and non-teaching staff, 20 students was participated.
Topic: “The effect of social media on women’s lives”. Time: 1:30 Pm to 3:30 pm. Venue: Auditorium
It was conducted by WEC for all streams. Over 35 students from various streams participated.
Objects: To understand the impact of social media on women’s mental health and self-esteem. To explore the role of social media in promoting women’s empowerment and social change. To discuss the challenges and opportunities of social media for women.
Outcome: Increased awareness about the effects of social media on women’s lives. Encouraged critical thinking and writing skills among students. Provided a platform for students to express their thoughts and opinions on the topic.
Day -2″Photography Competition”
Date: 4th-Nov-2025 Topic: “Women at Work” Time:30 Pm to 3:30 Pm. Venue: Auditorium
It was conducted by WEC exclusively for girl’s students of all the streams. Over 8 students participated.
Objective: 1. Capturing photography about Women at work place 2. To discuss the challenge faced by the Woman at work place.
Outcome: 1. It increase the awareness and the challenges faced by the Woman at work place. 2. Provided the platform for students to express their thoughts and opinions on the topic”
“Day 3 Business Plan competition on November 5, 2025.
Topic: innovative business idea for a better tomorrow
at Auditorium. The event saw participation from 8 talented students from BBA and BCom courses. The competition aimed to foster entrepreneurial spirit and innovation among students, providing a platform to showcase their business acumen and creativity. The judges for the event were Mr. Prakash from Managment Department, Mrs sandhya from Department of commerce. The faculty Coordinators are Mrs. Sujatha.M wec coordinator and Mrs. Jacilin from Department of PUC.
The objectives of the competition were:
To encourage students to think creatively and develop innovative business ideas
To provide a platform for students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills
To promote critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
The outcomes of the competition included:
Identification of potential business ideas with market viability
Development of comprehensive business plans with financial projections
Enhancement of presentation and communication skills among participants

“Day 4 Quiz Competition, held on November 5, 2025, at the Smart Room, witnessed a thrilling Quiz Competition focused on Women Achievers.
Over 35 students participated in the event, showcasing their knowledge and skills.

Event Details: Topic – Challenges faced by women at the workplace Date – 10-11-25 (November 10, 2025) Time – 1:30 pm Venue – Auditorium
Rules:
Each team can have 1-2 members.
The paper should be original and unpublished.
The paper should be within 1500-2000 words.
Presentation should be 6-7 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
To encourage students to research and present on the topic “Challenges faced by women at the workplace”
To provide a platform for students to showcase their research and presentation skills
Outcome:
Participants will present their original, unpublished research papers on the given topic.

The Department of Life Science organized a Dental Check-up Camp at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College,KGF in association with 32 smiles Dental Clinic,KGF on 30th October 2025 with the objective of promoting oral health awareness and providing free dental consultation to students , staff and Public. The camp aimed to educate participants about the importance of maintaining proper oral hygiene and to identify common dental problems at an early stage.
The camp began with a brief inaugural session presided over by the Principal, Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College, KGF who emphasized the significance of oral health as a part of overall well-being.
A team of Dr.Vatsala and Dr.Lydia from 32 smiles Dental Clinic, KGF delivered the lecture on regular dental examination, importance of Oral hygiene counselling, correct brushing techniques and gum infections. Special attention was given to educating students, faculty members and public about preventive measures, balanced diets, and the ill effects of tobacco and sugary foods on dental health. The team also done basic screening of oral hygiene for students, staff members and public .
A total of 50 students, 20 staff members and 10 public participated in the camp and gained knowledge on Oral care and its importance.
