Awareness Program on Dress Code & College Etiquette and Self Defence Program for Girl Students By WEC-2026

Objective of the Program: To create awareness among girl students about the importance of college dress code, professional etiquette, time management, personality development, women’s safety and self-defence techniques.

Resource Persons: 1. Dr. Rakesh T M – Black Belt, Physical Education Director, SBMJC, KGF – Session on Women’s Safety & Live Self Defence Demonstration. 2. Dr. Jayapandian IQAC Co-ordinator – Session on Time Management, Dress Code and Personality Development. 3. Dr. B. K. Manjula,  Hod department of kannada. A key note on women empowerment.

Participants: All girl students of the college, HODs and faculty members were present. Total strength: 200 plus  students

Proceedings of the Program: The program commenced at 11:30 AM with a welcome Address.  presided over the function and addressed the gathering about the importance of empowered women. Dr. Jayapandian IQAC Co-ordinator delivered an inspiring talk on punctuality, decent dressing as a reflection of professionalism, and college etiquette for personality development. Dr. Rakesh T M Sir demonstrated practical and easy self-defence techniques for women’s safety and explained the importance of physical fitness and mental alertness.

The session was followed by an interactive Q&A session where students clarified their doubts.

Outcome / Feedback: Students found the sessions highly informative, practical and empowering. They expressed that the program boosted their confidence and awareness about safety and professional behaviour.

Conclusion: The program concluded at [1:05 PM] with a Vote of Thanks by. The program was a grand success with active cooperation from all HODs and faculty members.
