Event Description:
As a part of Academic Activity of the Department, Orientation Programme was organized for the first semester Degree students of all the following Courses (BBA, BCA, B.Com, BSc-BGB & BSc-PMCs) at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College K.G.F The major objective of the Orientation Programme was to make the students understand the Academic aspects of the Library. Students attended the programme with good concentration and we took the feedbacks & we have attached the photos below.
In this Orientation Programme the Librarian deliberated words of advice & suggestions to the 1st year students on the following points:
- A Small introduction about the Library & good briefing by the Librarian & Library Admin about the Services provided by the Library.
- The Resources available in our library and how the students can utilize it.
- Explained about the SC/ST Book Bank which is available in our Library.
- The availability of extra cards based on two options i.e. Merit & SC/ST Category.
- Rules & Regulations of the department of Library.
- The Importance of the Library hour in the regular class time table.
- Providing extra Library hour for the students every day and during the Examination time.
- Importance of utilizing the books for reading & studying purposes.
- An introduction about the Reprographic Centre.
- The facilities available in the library for the students and staffs.
- The strategic plans of library for the upcoming days.
