CWC Visits Sri Shathashrunga Residential School for the Deaf

Sri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College, Department of Commerce, organized a one-day outreach programme at Sri Shathashrunga Residential School for the Deaf, Bangarpet.

Objectives:

1. To provide essential items to the students of Sri Shathashrunga Residential School for the Deaf. 2. To engage with the students through interactive games and activities. 3. To promote social responsibility and empathy among CWC students.

  • Final-year  B.com students contributed: 30 pillows

Programme Highlights:

  • CWC students conducted various games and activities for the school students.
  • Prizes were distributed to the winners.
  • CWC students provided lunch to the school students.

Outcomes:

 The outreach programme successfully provided essential items to the students of Sri Shathashrunga Residential School for the Deaf.

  • The programme fostered a sense of community and social awareness among CWC students.

GUEST LECTURE ON “AI’S INFLUENCE ON GLOBALIZATION”

The Department of Commerce hosted a guest lecture on “AI’s Influence on Globalization” by Dr. Ramya, Professor, Government First Grade College, KGF, exclusively for the B.com final year students on 20th March 2025.

Objectives:

1. To understand the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on globalization.

2. To explore the opportunities and challenges presented by AI in the global business landscape.

3. To equip students with knowledge on how AI is transforming international trade and commerce.

Workshop on ISO 21001:2018

The IQAC of SBMJFGC, KGF in Association with Garani Consultants conducted workshop on documentation and Internal Audit of ISO 21001:2018 from 26th March 2025 to 27th March 2025 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm in the auditorium.

Total 56 faculty members and 10 administrative staff participated in the program.

Resource Person: Mr. Lakshmisha Garani Raghavachar Founder & CEO Garani Consultants Bengaluru.

COMMEMORATION OF “SHAHEED DIWAS”

Date: 24TH March 2025 Conducted by : Rovers and Rangers Unit Venue: Auditorium

Objective: To remember the sacrifice of three extraordinary “freedom fighters”.

On 24th March 2025, the Rovers and Rangers Unit Commemorated Shaheed Diwas.

Shaheed Diwas is observed on 23rd March every year to honour the sacrifice of three extraordinary revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar.

This day is dedicated to paying homage to the unsung heroes of our nation. 

The Chief Guest  Dr.Rekha Sethi, Principal, SBMJC, KGF emphasized the significance of Shaheed Diwas.The Guest of Honour Dr. L. Jayapandian, IQAC Coordinator, SBMJC, KGF, spoke about  the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and the privileges we enjoy in free India as a result of their struggle.

Outcome: The Students had an opportunity to understand about the sacrifice of these three extraordinary revolutionaries of India. No. of participants: 160 students

Outreach Program – Plastic Free Environment by Eco-Club

Course Name : B.Com  and B.Sc in Life Science Committee Name : Eco Club Name of the activity : Paper bags making & its distribution   Activity In-charge : Roselin  K Event Date : 24th March 2025 

The Eco Club organised outreach program on plastic pollution and its impact on 24th March 2025. 60  students prepared and  distributed newspaper bags to local shopkeepers, pharmacy, vegetable sellers and created awareness among the public to reduce plastic bags’ at Kolar Gold Fields.
