We are delighted to invite Mr. Mudhaseer Ahmed Alunini to deliver a guest lecture on “Income Tax Structure and Career Guidance” at our institution. As a distinguished student and assistant professor with expertise in CMA and LLB, Mr. Alunini is well-equipped to provide valuable insights on income tax structures and offer career guidance to our students.

Objective:
The primary objective of the field visit to Jalappa Institute of Medical Science Hospital, Kolar, was to provide BBA students with a unique learning experience, exposing them to the medical field’s practical aspects, particularly in anatomy and forensic science.
Aim of the Visit:
To observe and understand the preservation techniques used for human organs and specimens.
To gain insights into forensic science applications in medical education and practice.
To explore the importance of anatomy in medical science and its relevance to business management in healthcare.
Key Observations:
During the visit, students had the opportunity to witness:
Museum of Preserved Human Specimens: Students observed preserved human brains, skulls, hearts, livers, kidneys, and fetuses, gaining a deeper understanding of human anatomy.
Forensic Department: The visit to the forensic department provided insights into the application of forensic science in medical practice, including the analysis of evidence and investigation techniques.
Dead Body Preservation: Students learned about the techniques used for preserving dead bodies and body parts, understanding the importance of preservation in medical education and research.
Outcomes:
The field visit provided students with a unique learning experience, enhancing their understanding of human anatomy, forensic science, and the importance of preservation techniques in medical education. The visit also sparked interest in exploring career opportunities in healthcare management and forensic science.
Conclusion:
The visit to Jalappa Institute of Medical Science Hospital was a valuable experience for the BBA students, providing a glimpse into the medical field’s practical aspects. Introduction
The Student Welfare Council of Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College, under the guidance of our respected Principal, Dr. Rekha Sethi, organised a Student Development Program titled “Campus to Corporate” on 11 August 2025. The program aimed at preparing students for the professional world by equipping them with essential corporate skills, industry insights, and career readiness techniques.
Objective of the Session
To bridge the gap between academic learning and corporate expectations.
To develop communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills in students.
To provide exposure to industry trends and career opportunities.
To motivate students to adopt a professional approach in their career planning.
Session Highlights & Outcomes
1. Industry Insights: Resource persons shared valuable knowledge about current industry demands, recruitment processes, and essential workplace skills.
2. Soft Skills Development: The importance of communication, teamwork, adaptability, and time management was emphasised.
3. Corporate Readiness: Students were guided on resume preparation, interview techniques, and professional etiquette.
4. Interactive Engagement: The session included Q\&A segments where students actively interacted with the speakers, clarifying doubts and seeking guidance.
5. Motivation & Career Planning: Students were encouraged to set clear career goals and continuously upgrade their skills to stay competitive in the job market.
Conclusion
The “Campus to Corporate” program was highly informative and impactful. Students gained practical knowledge about transitioning from academic life to a professional environment. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, with participants expressing appreciation for the engaging delivery and practical tips provided by the speakers.
The Student Welfare Council extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rekha Sethi, the resource persons, students and faculty members from other colleges, SBMJFGC-KGF faculty members, and all participants for making the program a success. The event successfully achieved its objective of inspiring and equipping students for future career success.
On July 8, 2025, an NPTEL-SWAYAM orientation was organized for first-year B.Com and BBA students in the Conference Hall, attended by 150 students. The event aimed to introduce them to the benefits of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) platform.
Key highlights of the session included:
Introduction to MOOCs and NPTEL: Mr. Harish, Assistant Professor and SPOC member, explained the concept of MOOCs and NPTEL, highlighting their importance in enhancing students’ knowledge and skills.
Benefits of certificate courses: The session emphasized the value of NPTEL’s certificate courses, which can supplement regular coursework and boost employability.
Course list and timeline: Students were informed about the available courses, timelines, and schedules, helping them plan their learning journey effectively.
Motivation and guidance: Dr. Kasturi, Head of the Department of Commerce, presided over the program and motivated students to make the most of NPTEL resources and take ownership of their learning.
Senior students shared their learning experiences and motivated others to take the course.
By participating in this orientation, students gained a clearer understanding of the NPTEL platform and its potential to enrich their academic experience.
Additionally, a similar orientation was organized for first year BCA, BSC, BGP, and PMCS students in the Auditorium on July 14, 2025. Around 140 students attended the program, which was presided over byMadam Chitra S., Assignment Professor from the Department of Computer Science, and Madam Abiyal J.S., Assistant Professor from the Department of Physical Science. They guided students on how to effectively leverage online resources for academic growth.
