Shramadhan at King George Hall

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit organized a Shramadhan programme at King George Hall on 22nd September 2025, in which 58 NSS volunteers actively participated in cleaning the park.

The programme aimed to create awareness among the public about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in their surroundings. Through this initiative, the volunteers encouraged the community to adopt clean habits and contribute towards a healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable environment.

Celebration of Independence Day

The NSS Unit and the Department of Physical Education, in association with the NCC Unit of our institution, celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15th August 2025.

A retired Army Personnel was invited as the Chief Guest and was honoured during the celebration. Dr. L. Jayapandian, NSS Officer, the NCC Officer, Faculty Members, and NSS volunteers participated in the event. A total of 78 students were present and actively participated in the programme.

Essay Writing Competition on Hygiene and Sanitation

The NSS Unit organized an Essay Writing Competition on the topic “Hygiene and Sanitation” on 13th September 2025. A total of 25 students participated in the event, which aimed to create awareness about the importance of maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation. The activity provided students with an opportunity to express their ideas and promote healthy practices on campus.

Poster Making Competition on Hygiene & Sanitation

The NSS Unit conducted a Poster Making Competition on 13th September 2025 on the theme “Hygiene and Sanitation.” More than 75 students actively participated in the event, creating posters to raise awareness among their peers about the importance of maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation. The event was successfully organized with the objective of promoting health consciousness and responsible practices among students.

National Voters Day By NSS

The  Electoral Literacy Club(ELC) in Association with NSS Unit of SBMJFGC, KGF conducted National Voter Day for first year Degree students on 24th January 2025 in the auditorium from 11:00 am to 12:10 pm.

The Voters awareness was briefed by Dr. L. Jayapandian NSS Officer and Dr. Rekha Sethi, Principal, and encouraged the students to participate in the vote in the electoral process.

The Voters Pledge was taken by 175 students and 40 faculty members
