The Eco Club organized “Best Out of Waste – Newspaper Bag Craft” activity on 13th November 2025 for the undergraduate students at SBMFJC,KGF.
The activity promoted environmental consciousness and encourage eco friendly alternatives.
50 students and 5 faculty members actively participated.
The Eco Club of SBMJC, KGF conducted biodegradable bag making for the BCA students on 28/07/2025. This activity brought an awareness on impact of plastics on natural resources and human beings.
30 students actively participated and gained knowledge about the importance of biodegradable products.

The Eco Club,SBMJC,KGF observed World Environment Day on 5th June 2025 with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment toward environmental well-being of the public at KGF. The event focused on raising public awareness about the harmful impact of plastic on human health and the urgent need to create a plastic-free environment. The theme for this year’s World Environment Day was “Combating Plastic Pollution”, in line with the global effort to reduce plastic waste and promote sustainable alternatives.
As part of the initiative, 30 students along with 2 teachers actively participated in a community outreach program. They distributed biodegradable bags to local shopkeepers and vegetable vendors, encouraging them to reduce the use of plastic carry bags and adopt eco-friendly alternatives.
The activity received positive responses from the public, and appreciated the students’ efforts. The interaction also served as an opportunity to educate the community on the dangers of single-use plastics and the importance of adopting sustainable practices in daily life.
The Eco Club observed World Earth Day with the theme Our power our planet on 22nd April 2025. The students were taken to King George Park to clean the garbage and to maintain hygienic environment for the public and children.

The Eco Club organised outreach program on plastic pollution and its impact on 24th March 2025. 60 students prepared and distributed newspaper bags to local shopkeepers, pharmacy, vegetable sellers and created awareness among the public to reduce plastic bags’ at Kolar Gold Fields.
