ORIENTATION PROGRAMME BY WADHWANI FOUNDATION ON “AI COURSE”

The Student Welfare Council of Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain First Grade College, K.G.F. successfully organized an Orientation Programme on “AI Course” in association with the Wadhwani Foundation .

The programme was conducted to create awareness among first-year degree students about the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and to introduce the AI learning opportunities offered through the Wadhwani Foundation. The session aimed to equip students with industry-relevant skills and prepare them for future career opportunities in the rapidly evolving digital world.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the gathering by Ms. Lincy, 3rd B.Com and SWC Member. Dr. L Jaya pandian, NSS officer, addressed the students and emphasized the significance of acquiring AI and digital skills to remain competitive in today’s job market. He encouraged students to actively participate in such value-added learning initiatives to enhance their employability.

The resource person, Mr. Thousif, Project Manager, Wadhwani Foundation, Bangalore delivered an insightful and engaging session on Artificial Intelligence. He explained the fundamentals of AI, its practical applications across various industries, career prospects, and the importance of developing AI-related competencies alongside academic education. He also introduced the AI Course offered by the Wadhwani Foundation, highlighting its features, certification, and benefits for students.

The session included interactive discussions, demonstrations of Wadhwani skilling application, and a question-and-answer segment, where students enthusiastically clarified their doubts regarding AI, career opportunities, and course registration. The programme received an overwhelming response, with students showing keen interest in enrolling for the AI course.

The Orientation Programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. N Praveen, SWC Officer, expressing gratitude to the Principal, the Wadhwani Foundation, the resource person, faculty members, and students for making the programme informative and successful.
